This project has been expanded to better serve E&K School in reaching sustainability. The installation of a clean water system at the school will ensure hundreds of children and teachers safe and clean water for years to come.

The only water source is a well approx 10 meters deep accessed by a bucket and rope. This water poses several issues of sanitation and health. The Malawi Water Board has existing infrastructure in the village. This water comes from the Shire River and is treated at the Water Board and piped through out the region. To gain access to the pipe water you must pay for the pipes and labor of installation as well as the water board fee.
